New to the studio? We can help you decide which Pilates session is best for you through an initial consultation with one of our expert teachers.

What to expect:

In your first one-hour consultation and visit at the studio, we will assess:

  • physical level & posture

  • the way you follow instructions, corrections & guidance

  • your goals

  • the best root to achieve your goals and progress

What to bring
  • Clothes you are comfortable moving in
  • Any information that might help teachers give an idea of injuries/rehabilitation (?)
  • ...and yourself!

Studio Sessions

The original Joseph Pilates  way of learning the method.

These sessions are ideal for those willing to gradually learn how to manage their programme and set up the equipment themselves, building both skill and autonomy over time.

You’ll work across all Pilates equipment in one session, developing well-rounded and adaptable body work while deepening your understanding of the method.

With two teachers supervising every session, you receive continuous guidance, corrections, and fresh variations tailored to your level.

Who's it for?

Our Studio Sessions are suitable for all levels — from beginners to advanced practitioners — provided participants feel confident working independently for short periods while the teacher supports others.

One-to-One Sessions

Each private session is carefully directed by an experienced Pilates teacher, who selects and progresses exercises according to your body’s needs, goals, and abilities.

Working across all Pilates equipment, these sessions provide precision, clarity, and focused attention — within the same relaxed and welcoming studio setting. While these sessions are highly tailored and structured, they are never clinical in atmosphere.

Who's it for?

Private sessions are ideal for those who benefit from dedicated one-to-one guidance and a fully personalised approach.Particularly suitable for those recovering from injury, managing specific physical conditions, or seeking a more structured programme, one-to-one sessions also offer the opportunity to refine technique in depth and accelerate progress.

Meet our experienced teachers

We focus on teaching you more than the basics and what's on paper. At Pilates Education and Research (P.E.A.R.), our teachers use intuition, observation, and search for subtleties to fine tune and reach the best results for clients.

Founder of our studio, Ellie Ioannidou, is one of the UK's most recognised voices in Pilates teacher training. With decades of experience and multiple mentions in the historical record of Pilates in the UK, Ellie brings deep respect for tradition together with a fresh, evidence-informed approach to movement. P.E.A.R. studio offers a training environment that is rigorous yet personal, rooted in classical principles but open to evolving.

Learn to See, Not Just to Do

You’ll learn to refine your own movement, sharpen your observation, and adapt your teaching to meet individuals — not just deliver routines. We focus on nurturing intuition, clarity, and creative responsiveness.

Pilates is Personal

We believe great teachers emerge through experience and mentorship. That’s why our training is small-group, feedback-rich, and deeply personal — helping you build confidence, and a grounded teaching voice.

About our Studio

Located in Kensington, London, our prestigious studio is fitted with state-of-the-art Pilates equipment in a friendly environment. Whilst we believe that the best results are achieved in small groups, this does not limit us to the plethora of equipment that we house to ensure you receive the most well-rounded training experience.
Our studio also includes a smaller room with equipment for private sessions and Osteopathy bookings.

Our Equipment

Our studio has a carefully selected range of Balnced Body equipment including several Reformers, Barrels, Cadillacs, Pedi-Pull, Wunda Chair and the Guillotine. This gives our clients and teacher trainees the opportunity to perfect their Pilates repertoire on a well-rounded range of equipment.
