The standard sits at Level 3 in the National Vocational Qualifications Framework.

It sets the minimum requirements in terms of skills and knowledge that a teacher should have to teach Pilates matwork in the UK. Most Gyms in the UK will require Level 3 Diploma. Pilates studios do not necessarily require level 3 and employment opportunities are given through interviews, auditions, experience and/or length and quality of training.

It is not a requirement outside the UK.  Different countries require different standards. Individuals coming from abroad should check with the relevant authorities.

There are no national requirements for apparatus and equipment.

Pilates Education And Research Level 3 accreditation will be in collaboration with Active IQ.
